Privacy Policy

Last updated: 11 July 2026

At The Life Harvest, your trust means a great deal to us. When you order our meals, join our coaching, sign up for our newsletter or simply browse our website, you share a little of yourself with us, and we take that seriously. This Privacy Policy explains, in plain language, what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we look after it, and the choices you have.

The Life Harvest is operated by Milena Minichiello trading as The Life Harvest, based on the Gold Coast, Australia. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to The Life Harvest, and “you” refers to you, our customer, client, subscriber or website visitor.

We handle your personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). Where you are located in the European Union or the United Kingdom, we also aim to respect your rights under the relevant data protection laws in your region.

We may update this policy from time to time as our business grows or the law changes. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page, so it is worth checking back now and then.

What information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • Contact and identity details, such as your name, email address, phone number and delivery address.
  • Order and payment information, such as the items you order and the details needed to process your payment. Payments are handled securely through WooCommerce and our third-party payment providers. We do not see or store your full card details.
  • Health and dietary information, such as allergies, intolerances, dietary preferences and any health or wellbeing details you choose to share with us as a coaching client or when ordering food. This is treated as sensitive information and is explained further below.
  • Website and technical information, such as your IP address, browser and device type, and how you move through and use our website. Some of this is collected automatically through cookies and similar tools.
  • Anything else you choose to share, for example when you reply to an email, fill in a form or contact us with a question.

How we collect your information

We collect information in a few different ways:

  • Directly from you, when you place an order, book coaching or catering, sign up to our newsletter, fill in a form or get in touch.
  • Automatically, through cookies, analytics and the Meta (Facebook and Instagram) pixel when you visit our website, as described in the cookies section below.
  • From third parties on occasion, such as our payment or email providers, only where needed to run our services.

Sensitive information

As a nutrition coach and meal provider, we sometimes need to know about allergies, intolerances, dietary needs and related health details so we can prepare food that is safe for you and support you well in coaching. This is considered sensitive information under the Privacy Act.

We only collect this information with your consent, we use it only for the purpose you shared it with us (preparing your food safely and guiding your coaching), and we do not use it for marketing or share it with anyone who does not need it to deliver your service.

Why we collect and use your information

We use your personal information to:

  • Provide our meals, coaching, catering and other services.
  • Process your orders, payments and deliveries.
  • Prepare food safely around your allergies and dietary needs.
  • Send you newsletters, recipes, offers and updates, where you have chosen to hear from us.
  • Respond to your questions, feedback and support requests.
  • Understand what our community enjoys so we can improve what we offer.
  • Meet our legal, tax and record-keeping obligations.

Marketing and how to opt out

We use Flodesk to send our newsletters and email updates. You will only receive marketing emails from us if you have signed up or bought from us, and every email includes an easy unsubscribe link. You can opt out at any time, and we will still be able to contact you about anything directly related to an order or booking you have with us.

Cookies and tracking

Like most websites, ours uses cookies and similar technologies to help it work properly, remember your preferences, understand how the site is used, and measure and improve our marketing. We also use the Meta pixel, which helps us understand how visitors arrive from Facebook and Instagram and allows us to show relevant ads to people who may enjoy what we do.

You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as smoothly if you do. If you are visiting from the European Union or the United Kingdom, you will be asked for your consent to non-essential cookies before they are set. You can also adjust how ads are personalised to you within your Facebook and Instagram settings.

How we share your information

We keep your information as private as we can, and we never sell it. We only share it where needed to run our business, including with:

  • Trusted service providers who help us operate, such as our website host (WordPress), our online store and payment providers (WooCommerce and its payment gateways), our email platform (Flodesk) and Meta for advertising and analytics.
  • Government or legal authorities, where we are required to by law or legal process.
  • A new owner, in the unlikely event we sell or transfer the business, in which case your information would be handled under a policy at least as protective as this one.
  • Anyone else you have given us clear consent to share with.

Overseas disclosure

Some of the providers we rely on, including Flodesk, Meta and elements of our website and payment tools, are based overseas, including in the United States. This means your personal information may be stored or processed outside Australia. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information continues to be handled with care and in line with this policy.

How we keep your information safe

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access or disclosure, including through secure platforms and sensible internal practices. That said, no method of sending or storing information online is ever completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

How long we keep your information

We keep your personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, or for as long as the law requires us to (for example, tax and business records). When we no longer need it, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

Data breaches

If a data breach occurs that is likely to cause you serious harm, we will act in line with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme under the Privacy Act. This means we will assess the breach and, where required, notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Your rights and choices

You have the right to:

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you and request access to it.
  • Ask us to correct information that is wrong or out of date.
  • Unsubscribe from our marketing at any time.
  • Withdraw your consent to how we use your information.
  • Make a complaint if you feel we have not handled your information properly.

If you are located in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you may also have the right to ask us to erase your information, to object to or restrict certain uses, and to receive a copy of your information in a portable format, where those rights apply to you.

To exercise any of these, simply email us at milena@thelifeharvest.com and we will help.
